Todd McFarlane Productions Announces "The New U" Titles
Todd McFarlanes Spawn Universe is laying the foundation of a lineup of new comics called "The New U." This new era will follow the events of Spawn #350. The first three "The New U" comics are Sam & Twitch: Case Files, Rat City, and Monolith. "The New U" comics will span a variety of genres, including crime, horror, science-fiction, drama, and comedy.
Sam & Twitch: Case Files puts the detectives front and center in their own series. The comic hails from McFarlane and Jon Goff and artist Szymon Kudrański.
Sam & Twitch: Case Files #1 goes on sale on March 27, 2024.
Rat City, from Erica Schultz and Zé Carlos, follows Peter Cairn, ex-soldier, amputee, and Hellspawn in a post-war future. "But Peter isn't dead like Al. Peter got his Spawn powers from the nanites in his prosthetic legs—nanites that were affected when Al Simmons initiated his necroplasmic detonation in the present. Al had no clue that the effects would ripple across—not just space—and but time as well." (Image Comics)
Rat City #1 goes on sale on April 10, 2024.
Monolith, from Sean Lewis and Valerio Giangiordano, is a three part miniseries that explores the Hellspawn Monolith's origin and what his connection is with Omega Spawn.
Monolith #1 (of 3) goes on sale on May 15, 2024.

And two other X-Books
Wow.
Wow!
WOW!
This is the most boring lineup of books I have seen. There are basically two books I would even try. Fallen Angels for Laura and for Bryan Hill and Szymon Kudrański. And MAYBE X-Force, I’m more or less bored with X-Force as a concept at this point and Quentin isn’t that much of a draw to pick it up.
And why is APOCALYPSE on Excalibur? How many mass murders this guy has committed again? Hell, just recently didn’t he freaking cause Evan’s death (so I heard, I dropped X-Tracts like a hot potato after #1)? It’s freaking Ex Nihilo all over again! I was right! They told me to wait and see and instead I WAS FREAKING RIGHT!
Also, the solicit to New Mutants is something else
“ THE NEXT GENERATION CLAIMS THE FUTURE! “
Dude
Dude, come here
Close
Closer
Listen. Listen carefully
FUCK! YOU!
Next Generation claims the future? Next Generation? NEXT GENERATION?! I’m sorry but that ship has sailed IN NINETEEN FUCKING NINETY-NINE! When you had an opportunity to have these characters step up and graduate, claim their place as the next generation of X-Men and YOU FUCKED THEM OVER TO PUSH ROB LIEFELD’S SHITFEST INSTEAD! I’m deeply sorry but you fucked up and this isn’t something you can just go and fix ALMOST THIRTY YEARS LATER! And you certainly are not gonna do it by THROWING EVERY SINGLE GENERATION OF MUTANTS AFTER THEM UNDER THE BUS! Congratulations to all Ge X except Chamber, Academy X, Gen Hope, WatXM kids, and Bendis’ era kids, I guess YOU NO LONGER EXIST! This is how deep Marvel has it’s head up its own ass, how fucking scared of feeling old the people in charge are. They want to take us thirty years into the past and pretend all in between didn’t happen and they’re still young and hip! And don’t think I’m pointlessly hating on New Mutants, I feel bad for the actual characters, considering they will be written by a fucking hack and a raging homophobe Ed Brisson so I can't wait to see how he rains as much shit parade on Karma as he did on Anole and tries to No Homo Magik and everyone else.
Fuck this. X-Men can continue to rot and sink deeper into irrelevance as they continue to understand their audience less and less. This is why you lose readers to My Hero Academia!
